Starting and finishing areas
For long-term trolleys on a tree or an anchorage a special platform, with the size of at least 2x2 meters is built for convenient placement of the instructor and the visitor. Do not forget about the reliability of the attachment point of the Trollеу, if it is a tree, it is necessary to strengthen it with additional braces in the opposite direction from the direction of the crossing.
A bayonet assembly is used to secure the rope. For fastening of a cable special cable clips are used, it is obligatory if to fasten a cable to a live tree it is necessary to mark a lining which will keep a tree from damages.
The finish area shall be between 1.5 and 2 metres above the ground. To create a good tension of the trolleys use the system of units (polisas) and winches.
Cable or rope
If you plan to use a rope, you need to understand that it needs to be changed every year, so you need to choose one that is minimally susceptible to stretching. Minimum diameter of ten millimeters, perfect 11-12 mm. Long rope: long trolleys + 25%.
It is much easier with a cable. It is much more expensive than a rope, but also will serve you from 3 to 5 years.
When choosing a cable it is necessary to focus on the softness, makes it much easier to fasten at the points of start and finish. The diameter of the cable varies from 8 to 12 millimeters. Length: +25%.
Gear for descenting down the trolleys
Depending on the length and slope, you can use climbing equipment or special seats with mounts. Climbing equipment consists of a system, two nibs with carbines and blocks.

Trolley braking system
During the descent, the visitor gradually picks up speed, for a smooth and safe stop, using the braking system.
The easiest way to stop is a stop net which catches the participant.
Counterweight System: the rope is placed perpendicular to the Trolley, one end of the rope is fixed to the load, the weight depends on the slope and stretch of the crossing; the second end is attached to the trolleys with a carabiner. When a participant enters the carbiner all his energy is spent on lifting the load, and he gradually stops.
There are also a number of mechanical devices that we usually use to create a Trolley braking system.
Security. Before letting visitors to the attraction, it is necessary to test it, for this purpose, special mannequins with a weight of 65 to 110 kilograms are used.
